ROBERT RUTLEY OF THE BLACKSTONE TEAM AT MOTT & CHACE SOTHEBY’S INTERNATIONAL REALTY INCLUDED ON EXCLUSIVE LIST OF LGBTQ+ AND ALLIED REAL ESTATE SALES PROFESSIONALS

The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance today unveiled its second-annual LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance Top Producers list which honors 236 individual member agents and teams, an increase of 20% over the last year’s inaugural list. RealTrends created the report in concert with The Alliance as the real estate industry’s only recognition of top producing LGBTQ+ and ally agents.

Robert Rutley, of The Blackstone Team, with Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International in Providence, RI, was named to the list having produced 170 transaction sides and $82.3 in sales volume in 2021. The team ranked sixth in transaction sides in sales volume.

“The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance continues to grow in size and stature, and we are led by incredible members like Robert,” said Ryan Weyandt, CEO of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance. “There is no denying how important our members are to LGBTQ+ buyers and sellers especially at a time when rhetoric and actions against the LGBTQ+ community are on the rise, and governing officials across the country are introducing hundreds of state and local bills and laws to restrict our freedoms. So, it’s only natural for LGBTQ+ folks want to turn to people like The Blackstone Team who understand their needs, challenges, and goals during the homebuying and selling process.”

The LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance launched in October 2020 and has grown to more than 2,600 members and dozens of chapters across the North America. It was recently named the Innovator of the Year in the MLS, Association, or Industry Organization category by Inman News.

The NAGLREP Top LGBT+ Agent List recognizes 124 organization members this year – nearly doubling last year’s honoree total.

Robert Rutley, of The Blackstone Team with Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty, was named to the list having produced 86.5 transaction sides and $31.8M in total volume. This is Robert’s third consecutive year on the list.

“As a strong advocate of the LGBTQ+ community, Realogy is truly honored to recognize the tremendous achievements of our top LGBTQ+ agents,” says John Peyton, President and Chief Executive Officer of Realogy Franchise Group. “We applaud and celebrate every agent recognized on the NAGLREP Top LGBT+ Agent List.”

“NAGLREP is playing an important role in showcasing the success of LGBT and allied agents across the United States.” said Jeff Berger, founder of NAGLREP. “At its core, the real estate industry is about curating relationships and providing impeccable service; the professionals on this list excel at making those connections and delivering on that promise.”

All sales professionals and teams ranked in the NAGLREP Top LGBT+ Agent List appeared on the 2019 REAL Trends + Tom Ferry America’s Best Real Estate Professionals ratings. REAL Trends qualified all NAGLREP members who met 2018 individual agent production minimums of 50 sides or $20 million in sales volume. Teams, whose lead is a NAGLREP member, were recognized with at least 75 sides or $30 million in sales volume last year.

“REAL Trends is proud to recognize this preeminent group of top-producing agents and teams who are members of NAGLREP and qualified to be on the REAL Trends + Tom Ferry America’s Best Real Estate Professionals,” says Steve Murray, president of REAL Trends. “This esteemed group is in the top 1.5 percent of all 1.4 million Realtors® in the United States for the calendar year 2019 sales results. Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty Announces The Blackstone Team

Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty is excited to introduce The Blackstone Team, a new class of real estate team bringing together the talents of agents Nelson Taylor and Robert Rutley. Formerly known as Taylor & Associates,The Blackstone Team includes Nelson Taylor, maintaining his role as Managing Partner; Robert Rutley, newly appointed Partner; Robin Lake, Client Coordinator; Benjamin Kean, Associate Agent; and introduces Karen Wilder and Ben Guglielmi as Associate Agents. “I am happy to join Nelson in the next evolution of Providence real estate,” Rutley says. “Our combined experience will elevate our high standard of hard work, integrity and honesty. While we are powerful agents in our own rights, this next level of collaboration will give us a greater ability to offer the best service and advice to our clients.”

The Blackstone Team is revolutionizing the team approach to real estate by continuing to expand its collaborative, familial-style business model, including coordination staff, personal marketing funds, support structure, profit sharing, and retirement packages. Additionally, the team is making strides to innovate within the industry by pledging a higher level of fiduciary responsibility; demanding a fair, honest and even marketplace amongst its colleagues; and lobbying for the end of the practice of Dual Facilitation.

“From this moment forward,” Taylor says, “we will not practice Dual Facilitation, the double-ending of real estate transactions.” Dual Facilitation, legal in Rhode Island, is the practice of a single agent assisting both the buyer and seller in a single transaction without representing either party and earning both sides of the commission. “We believe strongly that every client deserves full representation,” Rutley says. “The Blackstone Team will be working with local and national boards of REALTORS to end the practice in Rhode Island and beyond.”

The Blackstone Team will continue to elevate their relationship with the Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty brand. “We look forward to continuing to leverage the world class marketing and presence available to us and our clients,” Taylor says. Rutley adds, “We’ve worked hard to build lasting relationships with the agents within the Sotheby’s International Realty brand regionally, nationally and internationally. Not only are we partners in marketing our properties to more than just the local marketplace, but we know where buyers are coming from and we have relationships in markets around the world.”

“We have taken a pivotal step of turning the me into a we in order to better serve our clients, each other as agents and the communities in which we work,” Rutley says.  About the name, Taylor explains, “Blackstone represents so much in the marketplaces in which we work. It’s the last name of one of our first settlers. It’s become a street, a boulevard, a neighborhood, a school, a historical society, a canal, a river and a valley—just to name a few. Synonymous with community in Rhode Island, Blackstone is a part of our local heritage.”

The Blackstone Team at Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty can be found online at www.the-blackstoneteam.com, by calling 401-214-1524, or in Providence at Waterplace, 100 Exchange Street.
