Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty Breaks Another Record with Jamestown Sale

Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty announces with great pleasure the sale of 260 Beavertail Road for $9,125,000. The seller was represented by Judy Chace, Broker/Co-Owner, and Erin Marsh, Sales Associate, and the buyer was represented by Bridgette Soby, Narragansett Office Manager/Sales Associate: all of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty.

According to data available from Rhode Island Statewide Multiple Listing Service, the sale of 260 Beavertail Road is the highest sale in Jamestown in MLS history. This is also the fourth highest sale statewide this year.

Breaking a record set by the firm last year, this sale surpasses the previous highest sale in Jamestown at 609 Beavertail Road, which was sold by Judy Chace and Erin Marsh in June 2019.

The firm continues to prevail in the Jamestown market. Solidifying its presence as the luxury leader in Jamestown, Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty has represented both sellers and buyers in the three of the four top sales in the municipality so far this year. Year to date, the firm has represented 67% of the single-family properties sold over $5M in the municipality, according to data available from the Rhode Island Multiple Listing Service.

“Due to uncertainty in these unpredictable times, we have seen an uptick in buyers coming from outside of Rhode Island,” says Judy Chace. “Due to its scenic nature and appealing location, Jamestown in particular has seen an exponential increase in market activity. Everyone wants to live here!”

With just seven years of service in the luxury market, associates of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty have represented more clients in the top ten Jamestown sales in MLS history than any other firm. In less than a decade, the firm has successfully grown to a top position in the state and looks forward to continuing to represent the state’s most significant and extraordinary properties.

“My client came to me looking for something else entirely,” says Bridgette Soby. “With the help and creativity of my colleagues, we were able to offer something unique to their lifestyle. We were able to expertly evolve this sale to suit this client due to our expertise and willingness to go above and beyond.”

Erin Marsh adds, “Backed by a brand that represents luxury and service, Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty has risen to the top of the real estate market, this has never been more apparent than in what we have accomplished in Jamestown. We are a collaborative agency and in working together, we help clients reach their goals.”

Judy Chace affirms, “When you have the right team, the possibilities are endless. We are a young firm, but we are experienced agents backed by an established brand. We are creative, collaborative, innovative, and ready to help you find your home.”

260 Beavertail Road is an elegant oceanfront estate set on over 45 elevated acres. What was once the site of Beavertail Country Club, the property features 1,800 feet of coastline overlooking the West Passage of the Narragansett Bay. With the more than 6,500 square feet, the home boasts five bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half bathrooms.
