In the Press: Significant Sales in Watch Hill and Fall River by Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty

This week, Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty successfully closed the following transactions: 2 Bluff Avenue at the Ocean House, Suite 3-5, Watch Hill, RI and  306 French Street, Maplecroft Mansion, Fall River, RI.

The buyers of the Ocean House condominium were represented by Donna Simmons, Sales Associate with Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty. This transaction represents the highest condo sale statewide since 2015 (according to data from the Rhode Island Statewide Multiple Listing Service). “Ocean House condominium living continues to offer resort-like living in the heart of Watch Hill,” remarks the agent: also a local resident.

Maplecroft Mansion, home to the infamous Lizzie Borden in the years following her acquittal of the murder of her parents, was listed by the Taylor & Associates team of Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty. In the future, the new owners of the home plan to utilize the living quarters as a bed and breakfast in its historic Highlands neighborhood of Fall River. “We are all very excited for the opportunity to continue our efforts in preserving the history of Lizzie Borden and serving the community of Fall River,” asserts new owner David Woods.
